Rise Center at Columbia
The Rise Center at Columbia is housed in the beautifully renovated Columbia building. Columbia was built in 1905 and has housed many schools and programs over the years. It is now the home of Unit 4's alternative education programs. The Rise Center consists of Novak Academy, Middle School Restore, Elementary Restore, ACTIONS, ACTIONS Apex, LIFT, and after-school Novak GED. The Rise Center services students from 1st through 12th grade and focuses on making strong student/family connections to help students overcome previous difficulties. All placements into an alternative education are a collaborative agreement between the student, family, and the district.
